The Sassi's Greenbul is found in eastern Congo.

The Sassi's Greenbul is found from the Itombwe Mtns. to west Lake Kivu (Irangi), and from west Lake Edward to the Semliki Valley and eastern Ituri Forest (Epulu). There is a single record from the Uele region (Bambera). Rare in western Uganda.
