Observations from 1996:

December 3rd 1996 - Vadsøya;  700 Steller's Eider (P.stelleri).

November 3rd 1996 - Hamningberg;  3 White-billed Diver (G.adamsii) in winter plumage swimming offshore, and 10 ad. Glaucous Gull.

At Sandfjord there were 3 Snow Bunting, a fairly late observation.

At Svartnes there was one Brent Goose (B.bernicla bernicla), a fairly uncommon guest here, and 15 ad. & imm. Glaucous Gull.

At Finnvik we had 2 Red-throated Diver.

A surprise at Kiberg harbour was 1 Red-necked Grebe (P.grisegena), almost a rarity here.

October 30th 1996 - Nesseby;  One late Dunlin (C.alpina) with 15 Purple Sandpiper.

I arrived in Vadsø on October 29th 1996, so this is where my observations starts. 30 Steller's Eider in Vadsø harbour was the only observation of any significance on this date. Hope you enjoy my site!
