The Congo Bay-Owl is found in the east-central Congo

This rare owl has been recorded twice in the Itombwe Mountains in eastern Congo, once Muusi March 23, 1951 - and once Kabemwe, May 01, 1996, 95 kilometers south-east of Muusi.
